How to use the Holafly promo code
Holafly does not sell gigabytes, it sells days: you pick a destination and a length, the data is unlimited, and the daily rate drops as the trip gets longer. The code itself goes in right at the end, on the payment screen.
- 1Pick your destination and datesThe daily rate drops as the stay gets longer. That choice, not the code, decides most of the bill.
- 2Unfold “Discount code”On the checkout screen the field sits collapsed under your details. One click on the row opens it.
- 3Apply and check the totalType ESIMRAT, press Apply discount. The green banner appears and the amount recomputes on the right.
The rat's advice: the discount field is collapsed by default, under your personal details. Plenty of buyers pay without ever seeing it. Unfold it before you choose a payment method, and check that the total on the right actually moved.
The Holafly promo code that works in September 2026
Only one code to remember: ESIMRAT, 5% off any destination eSIM, verified up to the payment screen on September 9, 2026, for a 10-day Japan trip, €33.90 reduced to €32.21, with the line “Discount applied!” displayed by Holafly.
There are no 20% or 30% discount codes for a Holafly eSIM, regardless of what aggregator headlines claim. These pages stack codes without dates or proof, relying on the fact that you will eventually end up using the only one that actually works.
Code verified up to the Holafly payment screen
ESIMRATeSIMrat code, destination eSIM-5%ESIMRAT was applied on the payment screen on September 9, 2026, for a 10-day unlimited Japan plan, €33.90 reduced to €32.21. The 20% or 30% discount codes displayed by aggregators have no proof of this type.
A trap, identified on September 22, 2026: the Holafly welcome screen displays "Great! You are using the code..." with a 5% discount for any code entered in the address, including an invented code. This banner proves nothing. Only the payment screen, with its "Discount applied!" line, validates a code, and that is where ESIMRAT was verified.
The Holafly promo code, tested in a real basket
We did not copy the code off another site. On 9 September 2026 we opened Holafly's Japan page, picked a 10 day stay with unlimited data, and went through to the checkout screen.
The field opens by clicking the “Discount code” row, below your details. Code typed, Apply discount pressed, and a green “Discount applied!” banner appears with a 5% pill. The €33.90 subtotal drops to €32.21, a €1.69 discount.
Take the test for what it is: a dated measurement. A provider can switch a code off overnight without telling anyone. The test date sits on this page so you know how recent the last check is, and we re-run it regularly.
What 5% actually saves you
A percentage discount pays in proportion to the price, and at Holafly the price follows the length of the stay. Here is what 5% means on the Japan grid read on 9 September 2026.
5 days at €18.50: you save 93 cents. 10 days at €33.90: €1.69. 15 days at €46.90: €2.35. 30 days at €68.90: €3.45.
Prices read on esim.holafly.com on 9 September 2026, Japan page, in euros. Holafly shows a currency selector at the top of its page: in another currency the amounts change, the 5% rate does not.
Which means the code never tips a buying decision. Length is what weighs: the daily rate falls from €3.70 over 5 days to €2.30 over 30 days, a 38% gap the discount never closes. Our data calculator is therefore more useful than a code when deciding what you actually need.

Unlimited at Holafly: what you are really buying
This is the arbitration that matters here, and the code changes none of it. Holafly sells unlimited data plans, billed by the day, across more than 200 destinations. You do not pick a volume, you pick dates.
When the unlimited speed stops, Holafly says it switches automatically to Always On, 1 GB of monthly backup data, included in the plan. That is what the provider states on its own product page.
The format has a real upside: it makes the volume question irrelevant. If you stream, tether or travel without knowing what you will use, you cannot pick the wrong plan size. The downside is the price per gigabyte: on a short trip with light use, a volume plan often costs less.
Holafly's rates do not run through our comparator yet, for want of a product feed on their side. For a destination-by-destination ranking, our eSIM providers page gathers the providers whose prices we track continuously.
Fake Holafly promo codes and how to spot them
On this query, several sites list codes like HOLA50, HOLAFLY20 or WELCOME25, often presented as massive discounts. Those codes do not work.
The mechanism is always the same: the site publishes a long list to catch the click, betting you will try its affiliate code anyway, the only valid one. A 50% discount on an eSIM does not exist, the sector's margins do not allow it.
Three reflexes are enough. One, distrust any eSIM discount above 15%. Two, check the last test date shown, and walk away from pages that give none. Three, test the code in the basket before paying: it is the only judge.
Our eSIM promo codes page applies that rule to every provider compared, with the verification date where one exists.

Frequently asked questions
On this page, tested in a real basket, with the test date shown. Be wary of aggregators listing ten codes with no verification date: most no longer work, and the only valid one in the list is their affiliate code.
The ESIMRAT code gives 5% off a Holafly order. It was tested in a real basket on 9 September 2026: a 10 day unlimited Japan plan at €33.90 came to €32.21.
5% of the order. On the Japan grid read on 9 September 2026, that runs from 93 cents on a 5 day stay to €3.45 on a full month. On the 10 days we tested, the discount was €1.69.
Three common causes. The field stayed collapsed and the code was never submitted: click “Discount code”, then Apply discount. Another discount is already on the basket, and the two do not stack. Or the code has been switched off by Holafly, which happens without notice. Always test before paying.
The discount is a percentage: it applies to the order amount whatever destination you pick. We verified it on Japan, on a destination eSIM order.
Holafly sells unlimited-data plans billed by the day. The provider states that when the unlimited speed stops, a fallback called Always On takes over with 1 GB of monthly backup data, included. That is what it displays on its product page.
It depends on your usage. Unlimited removes the volume question, which is worth a lot when you do not know what you will use. On a short trip with light use, a volume plan often comes out cheaper. Our comparator shows the per-GB prices of the providers whose rates we track continuously.
It is an affiliate code: it identifies the referring site rather than opening a personal entitlement. Nothing guarantees it stays active from one order to the next, and the only check that counts is the one you run in your basket before paying.
ESIMRAT, for 5% off a destination eSIM, verified up to the payment screen on September 9, 2026: a 10-day Japan plan at €33.90 was reduced to €32.21. It is entered into the "Discount code" field on the checkout page, for all destinations.
On this page, with the test date and the amounts before and after. Watch out for two things: aggregators that promise 20% or 30% without proof, and the Holafly homepage banner, which announces a 5% discount for any code, even fake ones. Only the payment screen is definitive.
Yes. Holafly shows 4.7 out of 5 on Trustpilot for over 112,000 reviews, a figure read on its Japan page on September 22, 2026, with support via chat, WhatsApp, and email 24/7. In our review, it scores 4.2 out of 5: the unlimited data delivers on its promises, but the price per gigabyte is high for short stays.
