The Sim Local promo code that works in September 2026
Only one code to remember: ESIMRAT, 10% off your Sim Local order, provided by the brand to eSIMrat on September 10, 2026. It was applied to a real cart on September 18, 2026: on a plan costing $13.00, the displayed discount was $1.30.

What 10% earns on the Sim Local grid
A percentage discount is proportional to the price, so it's not much on a small plan. Here is what 10% represents on the Sim Local Japanese pricing grid, as recorded on their website on September 22, 2026: five unlimited network plans on KDDI, ranging from 4 to 31 days.
What 10% brings in, Japan Sim Local pricing guide
Prices manually collected from simlocal.com on September 22, 2026, in dollars. The discount follows the price: the shorter the plan, the more symbolic it is.
The reading is always the same: the code earns you anywhere from $1.30 on the smallest plan to $7.75 on the largest. Choosing the right plan, however, carries much more weight, and that is why our data usage calculator will teach you more than a code ever could.
Sim Local, what you're actually buying
Sim Local is an Irish reseller present in airport stores as well as through eSIM. Its difference: it sells plans from major local operators, named before purchase, alongside its own data plans. In certain highly demanded destinations, these operator plans include calls and SMS.
In Japan, the price list collected on September 22, 2026, includes five unlimited plans on the KDDI network, ranging from $13.00 for 4 days to $77.50 for 31 days. Sim Local announces up to 10 GB per day at full speed on these unlimited plans.
The Sim Local eSIM app (iOS and Android) installs the eSIM, tracks usage, and handles top-ups. Support responds 24/7 on WhatsApp, and a full refund is available within 14 days as long as the eSIM has not been activated.
To put these plans in perspective with others, our Japan comparator ranks offers by price per gigabyte, and our review of Sim Local details the rest of the range.
Fake Sim Local promo codes and how to spot them
On this topic, some websites publish long lists of codes with spectacular discounts, without ever showing a cart where they can be applied. These lists capture the click, and the only truly active code is often the one belonging to the site that publishes them.
A 50% discount valid across an entire catalog of eSIMs remains highly unlikely: industry margins rarely allow for it. Beware of any promise of this level.
The solution is simple: enter the code in your cart and check the total. If it doesn't change, the code is dead, regardless of the promise displayed next to it.
Our eSIM promo codes page applies this rule to all compared providers.

In our opinion, Sim Local scores 4.1 out of 5: an airport-based reseller, the networks of major local operators listed plan by plan, 24/7 WhatsApp support, and a full refund within 14 days before activation, but prices are in dollars and small plans are expensive per gigabyte.
