How to use the voilà eSIM promo code
Three steps, at payment time, never before. The code works on the website and in the app alike.
1Pick your planVolume and duration are chosen before the basket, and that choice weighs most on the bill.
2Open the promo code fieldOn the checkout screen, unfold the promo code row.
3Apply and check the totalType ESIMRAT. The discount appears and the amount recomputes on screen.
The rat's advice: check the total BEFORE paying, not after. Once an order is placed no code applies retroactively, and support will not refund the difference on a settled order.
The voilà eSIM promo code that works in September 2026
A single code, and it was added to the cart on September 22, 2026, for the 20 GB Japan plan: ESIMRAT takes off 0.75 €, bringing the total from 15.10 € to 14.35 €, with the "Promo code applied" line displayed by voilà, without an account and without paying. It is worth 5% on all destinations.
The second code in the table is there for demonstration purposes: VOILA50, the kind shown by aggregators, was rejected by the cart with the message "Invalid promo code." The 20% discounts promised in the headlines of these sites do not exist at voilà eSIM.

ESIMRATeSIMrat code, any order-5%VOILA50Seen on aggregatorsRejectedTest conducted on the 20 GB Japan plan at €15.10, without an account and without paying. A code refused by the cart is indicated as such: it is the only proof that matters.
The code is applied after choosing your plan, never before: at voilà, where the price per gigabyte is already among the lowest on the comparison site, the volume determines the bill, and the discount is added on top.
The voilà promo code, tested in a real basket
We did not copy the code off another site. On 9 September 2026 we opened voilà's Japan page, picked the 20 GB / 30 day plan (the one voilà itself recommends), and went through to the checkout screen.
The discount field opens by clicking “Do you have a discount code?”. Code typed, Apply pressed, and the screen shows “Promo code applied” in green with a 5% pill. The $16.80 subtotal drops to $15.96, an 84 cent discount. voilà bills in dollars on its English pages, where the French ones quote euros: the figures here are the ones the English checkout shows.
Take the test for what it is: a dated measurement. A provider can switch a promo code off overnight without telling anyone. The test date sits on this page so you know how recent the last check is, and we re-run it regularly.
What 5% actually saves you
A percentage discount pays in proportion to the price. On eSIM plans, which rarely pass $40, that stays modest. Here is what 5% means on voilà's Japan grid, read on 9 September 2026.
1 GB over 7 days at $1.40: you save 7 cents. 5 GB over 30 days at $5.50: 28 cents. 20 GB over 30 days at $16.80: 84 cents. 50 GB over 30 days at $34.90: $1.75.
Prices read on voilacreators.com on 9 September 2026, English Japan page.
Which means the promo code never tips a buying decision. Picking the right plan size, or a destination with a better price per gigabyte, saves you ten times more. That is also why our data calculator is more useful than a code: paying for 20 GB when 5 would do costs far more than missing a 5% discount.

Prices read on voilacreators.com. The discount follows the price: the smaller the plan, the more symbolic it gets.
Fake promo codes and how to spot them
On this query, several sites list codes like VOILFREE, VOIL50 or WELCOME10, often presented as massive discounts. Those codes do not work.
The mechanism is always the same: the site publishes a long list to catch the click, betting you will try its affiliate code anyway, the only valid one. A 50% discount on an eSIM does not exist: the sector's margins do not allow it.
Three reflexes are enough. One, distrust any eSIM discount above 15%. Two, check the last test date shown, and walk away from pages that give none. Three, test the code in the basket before paying: it is the only judge.
Our eSIM promo codes page applies that rule to every provider compared, with the verification date where one exists.

Frequently asked questions
On this page, tested in a real basket, or on voilà's own page, which hands out its VOILA5 code. Both give 5%. Be wary of aggregators listing ten codes with no verification date: most no longer work, and the only valid one in the list is their affiliate code.
We rated voilà criterion by criterion in our full review: price, coverage, installation, app and support. In short, a fair rate without being cheapest everywhere, a simple app and human support around the clock. The scores and the compared alternatives are there.
The ESIMRAT code gives 5% off a first voilà eSIM order. It was tested in a real basket on 9 September 2026: a 20 GB Japan plan at $16.80 came to $15.96. voilà also hands out its own VOILA5 code, which gives exactly the same discount.
5% of the order. On voilà's Japan grid read on 9 September 2026, that runs from 7 cents on a 1 GB plan to $1.75 on a 50 GB plan. On the 20 GB plan at $16.80, the discount is 84 cents.
Three common causes. The code is limited to a first order and your account has already placed one. A referral code is already entered, and the two do not combine. Or the code has simply been switched off by voilà, which happens without notice. Always test the code before paying.
voilà's official page states the code is available on all destinations. As the discount is a percentage, it applies to the order amount whatever destination you pick.
No, it covers a first order. On top-ups and later orders the discount no longer applies. That is the usual rule for affiliate codes in eSIM.
No. The codes circulating for voilà, its own included, all announce 5% on a first order. They are affiliate codes: they identify the referring site, they do not offer different discounts. Hunting for better than 5% at voilà is a waste of time.
Here: ESIMRAT, 5% off any order, added to cart on September 22, 2026, for Japan 20 GB, €15.10 reduced to €14.35. It is entered without an account, in the "Do you have a discount code?" field on the checkout screen.
No. The code VOILA50, similar to those displayed by aggregators, was rejected by the cart on September 22, 2026, with the message "Invalid promo code". The only code we saw being used that day was ESIMRAT, at 5%.
Copy ESIMRAT, choose your plan on voilacreators.com, click on "Place order", then on "Do you have a discount code?". Paste the code, click on Apply, and make sure the "Promo code applied" line and the new total appear before paying.
