How we score

This score is eSIMrat's own, not an average of customer reviews. It covers six criteria we assess ourselves from the catalogue's real coverage, the prices we record, and test purchases and installs. We earn a commission on sales made through our links: it changes neither the score nor the order of our rankings, which stay sorted by price per GB.

The eSIMrat verdict

Qrispy sells a single global eSIM, installed once, which you feed either with Global Wallet credit that never expires or with fixed or unlimited plans. It is the comparator's most convenient setup for hopping between countries over several months. Its price per GB is high, though: $1.40 on the Japanese 20 GB plan, $2.35 as credit, when others drop below €0.50.

Two things to plan for: checkout requires creating an account before the total appears, and prices are in dollars. Qrispy publishes no product feed, so its rates are not in our per-destination rankings: those quoted here were read by hand on qrispy.com.

Good for

  • Multi-country travellers over several months (one eSIM, credit that never expires)
  • Anyone who wants to install a single eSIM profile only
  • Heavy use in countries where unlimited is offered

Less suited if

  • You want the lowest price per GB on a single country (→ Roamify, Esimzon)
  • You want to buy as a guest, without creating an account (→ Saily, Airalo)
  • You need native calls or texts (→ Sim Local, Yesim)
  • You want excellent value for money, an eSIM that is simple to install with an easy-to-use app, and human support 24/7 (→ voilà eSIM)

Pros and cons

Pros

  • One eSIM for 210+ countries and regions, installed once
  • Global Wallet credit with no expiry date, kept from one trip to the next
  • Fixed plans from 5 to 30 days and unlimited in 90+ countries
  • Tethering included, drawn from the balance
  • Plans that start on their own at first connection in a covered country

Cons

  • High price per GB: $1.40 on the Japanese 20 GB plan, $2.35 as credit
  • Account required before you reach the payment screen
  • Dollar pricing, possible exchange fees depending on your bank
  • Data only: no native calls or texts
  • No published support hours, no WhatsApp

How to install your eSIM with Qrispy

  1. Buy your plan

Buy on qrispy.com or in the Qrispy eSIM app (iOS or Android). Checkout runs on checkout.qrispy.com and starts with creating an account, before the payment screen.

  2. Pick your destination

Choose your destination and your data plan.

  3. Scan the QR code

Let the Qrispy eSIM app install the profile automatically, once: it then serves every plan you buy.

  4. Get connected

Turn the connection on when you land. That's it.

If something goes wrong

Check that your phone supports eSIM and is unlocked, and install over a stable internet connection. Qrispy allows up to five deletions and reinstalls of the profile, which stays tied to the device. If it still fails, contact support through the site chat or at support@qrispy.com.

Turn Airplane mode on and off again. Check that the eSIM from Qrispy is selected for mobile data in your settings. Turn data roaming on. Restart the phone. If nothing changes, switch network selection to manual and pick another operator.

Look at per-app usage in your phone's settings to spot the hungry apps. Turn off automatic updates and high-resolution video playback. Your remaining data shows in your Qrispy account, or in its app when there is one.

With Qrispy, the profile installs from the Qrispy eSIM app, with no QR code to scan. Check your confirmation email and spam folder, then open the app with the account created at purchase. Otherwise, write to support through the chat or at support@qrispy.com.

What users say

Reviews synthesised from the App Store, Google Play and online feedback. We do not republish reviews word for word: we summarise the trend.

  • ★★★★★Trustpilot

Setup described as simple, with responsive customer service when an issue came up. The reviewer highlights the savings compared with roaming.

  • ★★★★★Trustpilot

Used between London and Paris: automatic switching between carriers and top-up credit with no expiry date, appreciated for frequent round trips.

  • ★★★★★Trustpilot

Sign-up felt a little long, but it ran without a hitch once activated, with a much lighter bill than roaming during a data-heavy holiday.

Frequently asked questions

For Japan, read by hand on qrispy.com on 28 August 2026, the 30-day fixed plans worked out at $2.19 per GB for 5 GB, $1.80 for 10 GB and $1.40 for 20 GB, against $2.35 per GB as Global Wallet credit. For one country over a known period, the fixed plan is cheaper; credit makes sense for chaining countries with no end date.

Yes. Qrispy advertises tethering as included; on Global Wallet, shared data is drawn from your balance like any other.

An eSIM works on most smartphones released after 2019: iPhone XS and later, Samsung Galaxy S20 and later, Google Pixel 3 and later. Your phone must be carrier-unlocked. Our eSIM-compatible phones page lists the models.

Yes. Most recent smartphones handle a physical SIM (calls, texts, your number) and an eSIM from Qrispy (mobile data) side by side. You keep your usual number and use the eSIM for the Internet.

Qrispy's terms state that fees are non-refundable, except in the cases covered by its cancellation and refund policy, to be requested from support through the chat or at support@qrispy.com. Check your phone's compatibility before paying: that is the precaution that avoids the question.

Qrispy advertises an eSIM optimised for data, with no published app restriction. Regular calls and texts are not supported: use WhatsApp, FaceTime or Signal.

Yes, and that is Qrispy's whole idea: one profile installed, then you add a fixed plan or Global Wallet credit from the app without reinstalling anything. Unused credit never expires.
