Technical note
An overview of Roamify's performance across 6 criteria
How we score
This score is eSIMrat's own, not an average of customer reviews. It covers six criteria we assess ourselves from the catalogue's real coverage, the prices we record, and test purchases and installs. We earn a commission on sales made through our links: it changes neither the score nor the order of our rankings, which stay sorted by price per GB.
The eSIMrat verdict
Roamify is the widest and cheapest-per-GB provider in our comparison: 239 countries, plans from 1 to 1,000 GB, daily unlimited plans and tethering included across the whole catalogue. Support answers around the clock by chat. On the other side, the refund policy only covers eSIMs that never connected, and reviewers report unlimited plans slowing down after heavy use: for all-day streaming, a fixed-volume plan is the better pick with them.
Good for
- Heavy data users (50 to 1,000 GB)
- Travellers who compare on price per GB
- Rare destinations others do not cover
- Long stays (up to 365 days) with tethering
Less suited if
- You want a refund if you change your mind (→ Yesim)
- You rely on unlimited data for all-day streaming (→ Holafly)
- You want a built-in VPN (→ Saily)

How to install your eSIM with Roamify
Buy your plan
Buy on getroamify.com or in the Roamify app (iOS and Android). The QR code is available right after payment.
Pick your destination
Choose your destination and your data plan.
Scan the QR code
Pay and scan the QR code to install the eSIM.
Get connected
Turn the connection on when you land. That's it.
If something goes wrong
Check that your phone is eSIM-compatible and unlocked, with a stable Wi-Fi connection during setup. If it still fails, Roamify's live chat answers 24/7 on the site and in the app, or write to support@getroamify.com.
Turn Airplane mode on and off again. Check that the eSIM from Roamify is selected for mobile data in your settings. Turn data roaming on. Restart the phone. If nothing changes, switch network selection to manual and pick another operator.
Look at per-app usage in your phone's settings to spot the hungry apps. Turn off automatic updates and high-resolution video playback. Your remaining data shows in your Roamify account, or in its app when there is one.
The QR code shows in your Roamify account as soon as payment clears, on the site and in the app. Check your spam folder too. Otherwise, live chat resends it.

Yes, on every Roamify plan. The help centre explains how to set up the hotspot on iPhone and Android.
An eSIM works on most smartphones released after 2019: iPhone XS and later, Samsung Galaxy S20 and later, Google Pixel 3 and later. Your phone must be carrier-unlocked. Our eSIM-compatible phones page lists the models.
Yes. Most recent smartphones handle a physical SIM (calls, texts, your number) and an eSIM from Roamify (mobile data) side by side. You keep your usual number and use the eSIM for the Internet.
Only if the eSIM never connected (full refund minus an admin fee) or if a connection problem could not be solved (pro rata for the days without network). No refund for a change of mind, an incompatible or locked phone, or a wrong email address. Request via support@getroamify.com, processed in 3 to 5 working days.
A travel eSIM gives you ordinary Internet access. Any restrictions (China, Iran) come from the network of the country you visit, and the plan page says so when the provider documents them.
Yes, you add GB to an already installed Roamify eSIM from your account, without scanning a new QR code.
