The rat's advice: Roamic sells in euros, with no currency conversion at the time of payment. And you have 180 days to install the eSIM before its validity period begins: nothing stops you from buying with the code as soon as your trip is booked, and installing it the day before departure.

This test is what it is: a dated measurement. A provider can deactivate a code overnight without warning anyone. The date is displayed on this page so you know when the last check took place, and we redo it regularly.
What 10% brings to the Roamic grid
A percentage discount is proportional to the price. Here is what 10% represents on the Roamic Japanese price list, the destination we use as a benchmark throughout the site.
What 10% brings in, Roamic Japan pricing grid
Prices taken from roamic.com on September 25, 2026, identical to our catalogue. Discount rounded down to the nearest cent, as in the cart.
Since Roamic is already among the cheapest on the comparison site, the discount remains modest in value: from $0.50 on the 5 GB plan to $3.30 on the 50 GB plan. Choosing the right plan remains the primary way to save, and our data usage calculator tells you how many gigabytes to plan for before the code even comes into play.
Roamic, what you're actually buying
Roamic is a travel eSIM brand published by Bytetravel S.A., a Spanish company based near Barcelona. Our catalog includes 192 countries and 7 regional zones, with prices in euros among the lowest on the comparison site: in Japan, 10 GB for 30 days for €8.99.
Two plans are available. The data-based plan ranges from 1 GB for 7 days to 50 GB for 30 days. The daily unlimited plan is sold per day, from 1 to 30 days, with 3 GB of high-speed data per day, then 1 Mbps until the next day.
No apps to download: the QR code arrives via email, and the MyRoamic web portal displays your usage and allows you to top up an active plan. Support is available 24/7 via chat, email, and phone. As long as the eSIM has not been activated, it is fully refundable within 180 days.
To put these plans in perspective with others, our Japan comparator ranks them by price per gigabyte, and our review of Roamic details the rest.
Fake Roamic promo codes and how to spot them
On the search query "Roamic promo code", some websites publish lists of 20% or 50% discount codes without ever showing a cart where they can be applied. These lists capture the click, and the only truly active code is often the one belonging to the site that publishes them.
A 50% discount on plans already sold at €0.99 or €1.99 remains very unlikely: industry margins rarely allow for it. Beware of any promise at this level.
The workaround is simple: enter the code on the checkout page and watch the total. If it doesn't change, the code is dead, regardless of the promise displayed next to it.
