Squeezie eSIM: should you use the Saily promo code?
Squeezie sponsors Saily, an eSIM provider, with a -15% promo code. The offer looks good, but is it really the best deal for your next trip?
We break down the partnership, compare price per GB, and tell you honestly whether to go for it or look elsewhere.

Squeezie and Saily: what is this partnership?
Since 2024, Squeezie (Lucas Hauchard, 19 million YouTube subscribers) has regularly run segments sponsored by Saily in his videos. The format: he introduces the eSIM service, explains how it works, and shares his promo code SQUEEZIE for -15% off your first order.
Saily is built by Nord Security, the company behind NordVPN and NordPass. That is a big part of the pitch: it ties the credibility of a well-known cybersecurity player to an eSIM service. In practice, the Saily app bundles a VPN, an ad blocker and Wi-Fi protection, which most competitors do not offer.
The partnership is a paid collaboration, clearly labelled as such in the videos. Squeezie earns a commission on sales made through his code. Other French creators have the same kind of deal with Saily: Mcfly et Carlito, Poisson Fécond, Léo TechMaker, LeMondeDeChoi. They all share the same -15% code.
What the Saily eSIM does well
Before we get to the promo code, let us look at what Saily is worth as a service. Several things work in its favour.
✅ Wide coverage: 150+ countries, with local, regional and global plans.
✅ Built-in security: a NordVPN VPN included in the app, handy in countries where some services are blocked (China, Turkey).
✅ Well-built app: 4.8/5 on Google Play (25,000+ reviews). Setup in a few minutes, clear interface.
✅ Tethering: hotspot is allowed with no restrictions on every plan.
✅ Responsive support: live chat available from the app.
Where the Saily eSIM falls short
❌ Higher price per GB than some competitors on small plans. Entry pricing is $3.99 for 1 GB / 7 days, roughly €3.70 per GB. At other providers such as Airalo, voilà or Ubigi, the same volume can start at €0.80 per GB on popular destinations.
❌ Data only: no native calls or texts. Everything goes through WhatsApp, Signal or FaceTime. A US number is available as an add-on ($0.99/month), but it is not a local European number.
❌ Fair use on unlimited: past 2 to 3 GB a day, speeds are throttled. It is not truly unlimited, and that is rarely spelled out in sponsored videos.
❌ Prices shown in dollars: the conversion can surprise you at checkout if you pay in euros.
The SQUEEZIE code (-15%): is it a good deal?
The code works: we tested it on an order in July 2026 and the 15% discount does apply at checkout. But the real question is not "does the code work", it is "is Saily with -15% cheaper than the alternatives without a code".
Take a concrete example: a 5 GB / 30 day plan for Thailand. With Saily you are at about €12.50 ($13.49), so €10.63 with the SQUEEZIE code, which works out to €2.13 per GB. With Airalo, about €10.20 ($11.00) with no code, so €2.04 per GB. With Maya, about €9.50, so €1.90 per GB. Holafly asks €19.00 for unlimited, where price per GB cannot be calculated since the volume is not capped (but is subject to fair use).
Prices checked in July 2026, approximate USD/EUR exchange rate. Other providers offer even lower rates on this destination.
Bottom line: on this destination, Saily with the SQUEEZIE code is competitive, but several providers do better on price per GB, even without a promo code. A -15% code does not always make up for a higher base price.
Saily's edge is elsewhere: the built-in VPN (useful in China or Turkey), unrestricted tethering, and the NordVPN name behind it. If those matter to you, the SQUEEZIE code is a nice bonus. If you just want the cheapest plan, compare first.
The other YouTubers sponsoring Saily
Squeezie's deal is not a one-off. Saily works with several French-speaking creators, all on the same mechanic: a -15% promo code on your first purchase.
Mcfly et Carlito: same discount, same rules. Poisson Fécond: discovery and travel angle. Léo TechMaker: tech and device testing angle. LeMondeDeChoi: travel and lifestyle.
The code is identical whichever creator you come from: -15% on the first purchase. If you have already used a Squeezie code, the Mcfly code will not give you another -15%. Codes do not stack with each other, nor with other Saily promo codes.
What are the alternatives to Saily?
Saily is a solid provider, but the eSIM market is crowded. Depending on your destination and your priorities, other players are worth comparing.
Airalo: the biggest catalogue, 200+ countries, competitive prices on small plans, solid app. voilà: some of the lowest prices per GB on the market, 187 destinations, human support, simple app. Holafly: unlimited data (with fair use), ideal if you use a lot and do not want to watch a quota.
Ubigi: backed by Transatel (NTT), good European coverage and network reliability, but an ageing app. Nomad: clear interface, good prices across Southeast Asia, appealing regional plans. Yesim: calls included on some plans, local number available, less known but complete.
The best habit is still to compare price per GB for your exact destination. A provider can be unbeatable in Japan and expensive in Brazil. That is why we built a comparator that ranks every plan on that metric.
Our verdict
The SQUEEZIE code works and the -15% discount is real. Saily is a serious provider, backed by Nord Security, with a good app and a genuine built-in VPN. If you are heading somewhere a VPN comes in handy (China, Iran, Turkey), Saily with the SQUEEZIE code is a sensible pick.
That said, if your main criterion is price per GB, a -15% code is not always enough to offset a base price higher than some competitors. On popular destinations, other eSIM providers start at €0.80 per GB with no promo code, which is still cheaper than Saily at -15%.
The rat's advice: compare first, click the code second. Not the other way round.
